i was hoping you can help me with something. kind of a weird request but i need some outside opinions. i have deciding to start looking for different employment. i know, i know...it's an awful time to start but i just wanted to put my feelers out there. ;) do you have any ideas of where to look aside from the typical job search engines like Craigslist, Indeed, Careerbuilder and Monster? i just want to make sure i am exploring all avenues. i'm not looking for anything in a specific field either. thanks for your feedback! cobride

    If you are into marketing, pr, sales, non-profit, hr, mgmt - go check out andrewhudsonsjobslist.com. Andrew Hudson is a local PR guru who posts weekly jobs on Mondays. His list is A-mazing!

    indeed.com it kind of summarizes all the other sites. I've found that in Denver it is best to look on the company specific sites, a lot of the classifieds sites are more entry level and random not specific job title positions. (if that made sense haha) whats your experience in?

    Check out http://www.coloradononprofits.org/board.cfmfor non-profit jobs.  I agree with PP that looking at specific organization/company websites is a good way to search for jobs since many just list on their own websites as advertising.I also think the Universities in the area would be a good place to look.  Maybe check out www.jobsatcu.com Any idea what you're looking for?

    I work as an assistant in HR, and everyone had really good suggestions in regards to some of the good local boards and nonprofit job boards. I guess the big trend in HR these days is moving away from Monster.com and Career Builder, and instead posting jobs on the much less expensive Craigslist, in addition to posting jobs on their own Careers section of their web page.I know that in 2009, we've only posted really hard-to-fill jobs on Monster.com and Career Builder. The other jobs, we've posted on our company web site and Craigslist only. A number of companies are starting to use things like Twitter to post jobs, because it's free. If you go to http://search.twitter.com/ and enter the phrase "denver jobs" in the search box, you'll see a bunch of job postings for local jobs there. You don't need a Twitter account to search Twitter- typically, individuals or companies post links to a job site from Twitter. There are also some local companies that have Twitter accounts. These require a little bit of creativity to find, but hopefully the "denver jobs" search will lead you to more places like these:http://twitter.com/NJHealthhttp://twitter.com/DenverCityJobs

    I just thought of another thing. Check out http://www.ynpndenver.org/ and sign up for the listserv. Sometimes the messages to the listserv are for job postings.
