Music for uncle/neice dance

Hey everyone,I am having a lot of trouble finding a song for the traditional "father/daughter dance".  See my dad has been in and out of my life and when it came to my wedding he decided he didn't want to go...which i figured.  So I asked my uncle who has always been there for me...more so than my dad, if he would walk me down the aisle and do the dancing, etc.  Well he was more than happy but now it's time to figure out all of the music and all of the songs for that dance all say daddy's little girl or something to that effect which just isn't going to work here.  So i really need help figuring a nice song out that would be perfect for this.He has looked some up as well and one of the one's he really liked was Blessed by Elton John, which is a really nice song, but i'm not sure it's right for that dance.Any help would be wonderful!Thanks

    What about just skipping the dance?  I am having my twin bro walk me down the aisle but we are skipping the dance.

    i thought about that but my uncle is one of those sentimental types and he is really looking forward to it.  Plus my fiance's mom said if we skipped it than she would feel wierd doing the mother son dance and i know how much that means to her so i don't want her to feel like that. =)

    Well let him pick if you feel ok with that. What about the song that you don't feel its right for that dance?

    If he has a song he likes, why not use it?  I think it is a beautiful, appropriate song.

    The only thing i wasn't sure about for the one he chose was it sounded way too much like a song about a baby being born.  Yes, it was a really nice song...but it sounds like a song that i would want to sing for my kids whenever i have them.
