  • shhhocking I say.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Not often do we see a "I know it's wrong but I'm doing it anyway" thread.  that one may have to go in the archives. ;-)

  • Why would she even bother to delete if she posted in the first place knowing what everyone would say?  That was stupid.

  • Exactly Dani. What's the point of posting on an international forum? If it's 'what's done' in your local area then ask the locals - not the people who find what you want to do to be repugnant.
  • Ok missed it what was this one about that you are talking about. I miss the good stuff.
  • There were some awesome poems in there! That's why I kept the thread. ;-)

I'm surprised it took as long as it did.

  • Sorry, Moose.  I guess Dancing Princess would have been a more suitable title in this case. ;-)

  • So she wanted to tell which guests when to dance and when not to? Is that what tiered dancing is?
  • I won't blame you for it, B.  At least not for long.  Then again, it depends on how long it stays in my head.

  • Darn I missed it.
  • I actually grew up in an area where that kind of thing was somewhat common.  Somewhat.  I'm sure the people who did it thought it was "done" in our area.It was not acceptable, however and any wedding that hosted a tiered reception was commented on by guests and remembered for a long, long time afterwards.

  • I love how she blatantly said she didn't want to be flamed for it, knew she would be and then posted it anyway. At least it brought a bit of amusement..
