Re: I guess she won't be changing her name....

  • awe what a cute story.
  • My grandmother named her last son "Kelly Jo Lastname".  She was really bitter about having only one daughter.
  • I thought the same thing Dani- he even said he had a feeling this girl was the one before he even met her.. just seems weird based off the story.
  • I may have to crash that wedding. Not too bad of a drive.

  • I dunno Dani-H and I were only together two months before moving in and and 8 months before we got engaged, a lot of that time was spent talking on the phone and through FB b/c he was out of town a lot at the beginning.
  • I have a friend (female) named Kelly and she thinks it's too masculine....?
  • I have a male cousin named Kelly.  Kelly was always a masculine name to me because I didn't know any female ones until 90210.

  • Kinda cute.. but also kinda wierd.. Dani- I agree its very quick.. but then again my parents were together 1 year before getting married and only saw each other 2 weeks at christmas & 1 week before the wedding. The whole relationship was long distance.. and they will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary next year.. I do think 8 months is a bit soon though..

  • Kelly is one of those either/or names.  Definitely not feminine at all.

  • Kelly started out as a masculine name. It just became popular for females recently (as in within the past 30-50 or so years? Don't quote me on that). I'm a Kelly. It's fine for either males or females in my eyes. As far as the story, it's weird. Cool but weird.
  • Huh, really? I never knew that about the name "Kelly;" I've only ever known female Kellys. Interesting. I learned something new today.
  • My dad's daughter (I'm adopted) is named Kelly. She married a man...Firstname Kelly. She is now Kelly Kelly. Sucks for her.
