Rehearsal dinners in dwntwn Cleveland

Hi all,I apologize if this has been covered before, but I'd really love to know everyone's suggestions on rehearsal dinner locations in downtown Cleveland.  We have a LOT of OOTers, and want to keep it close to 4th St/The Hyatt.  I've been looking at the places on 4th, but any other suggestions or places off the beaten path? Thanks!

We are having ours in Tremont (South Side Grill).  We had a lot of OOTers too, but decided to cut it down to just the bridal party, otherwise it's like the reception!  The food is amazing at all of the restaurants in Tremont!  Downtown itself can get VERY expensive!!  However, I would suggest Fat Fish Blue, Pickwick and Frolic, Rock Bottom Brewery, Great Lakes Brewery, Blue Point Grille, and the Greek Orthodox Church in Tremont just to name a few.  Here is a great website to continue your search http://cleveland.diningguide.com/dl1dt.htm Also, keep parking in mind when you choose a location.  HTH!

We are getting married at the Hyatt and I had the same thing... a lot of OOT people so I wanted it walkable.  We are having ours at La Strada.  It is a newer Italian restuarant owned by the same people at La Dolce Vita in Little Italy.  They were really flexible and even let us do a tasting where we tried a bunch of food!  They also play black and white Italian movies on the wall and told us for our event we could play pictures or a slide show or something.  We also considered Zocalo.  It was a little cheaper but FI's parents liked where we would be sitting better at La Strada.  If you have the budget, Lola has a party room.  But I think they start at around $50/person.  Greenhouse tavern down there just opened up also.  It is french.  My mom loves it!  Some of the places on W. 6th are great too like Metropolitan or Blue Point Grill.   We're also have an after-the-rehearsal-dinner party for all our OOT guests (and some local close friends).  We rented out 6 lanes at the Corner Alley.  They also have a party room where you can do dinner.  We figured it would be a fun activity for everyone and then we can go out afterwards with college friends.  If you want any more specifics about La Strada or the Corner Alley, feel free to email me at caw30@case.edu.

We had our's at Metropolitan Cafe, which is walkable from the hyatt, but may be a little too long if you're getting married in the winter or sometime when the weather's not so great. i don't know much beyond the east 4th restaurants that's walkable from the hyatt. given the location, i think you'd have some great options on e. 4th and would go with that.

You could try looking into Porcelli's.  It's on E 6th & Superior.  It's really good Italian food and the prices are very reasonable.  http://www.porcellisbistro.com/

We had ours at the ChopHouse on St. Clair (right by W. 6th).  They have a private room that holds up to 50.  Our experience was great, everything from service to food.  No complaints at all!  They are also more reasonable than some other places downtown too.  Highly recommended!

We are having our at John Q's in Public Square...walking distance from the Hyatt (thats were our block is too).  They have been great to work with, the private room (with private bathrooms) is really nice, and the food is great.  Reasonable price too...around $30-$35 a person plus tax, includes salad, entree, side, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. Otherwise...anything on e4th or Chophouse is great too!
