A reasonable florist?

So I've already met with a few florists in the area...and I'm still looking! I didn't expect this to be the thing I would have the most trouble with! We do have a budget - I'm still in nursing school and FI is in the army, so we can't afford to spend a whole lot on flowers. I've been given quotes around $1000, which we really can't do. I'm planning on either doing my own centerpieces or having my reception venue take care of them because that's covered in the package already, so those won't need to be done by the florist. We have 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen and will also probably do 2 altar arrangements.Have any of you used a florist in the are that you were happy with and that happened to be a bit more reasonable? :-) Or, anyone to stay away from?

I'm using 12th Street florist, downtown.  If you tell Cathi your budget I am sure she can work with you and give you something amazing!

I ran into budget issues too.  We have splurged on many other things, but don't want flowers to be one of the.  They're still important to me (not so much to FI) but in order to do what I want for the price we want, I've decided to do them myself.  I'm going to use fiftyflowers.com to buy them wholesale and flower factory for the vases & other floral supplies.

I have 6 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, flower girl, ring bearer, 4 parents, 3 grandparents, flower cake topper, no altar arrangements....total was $550 with Petal Place Flower Shop in Northfield. My wedding is in 39 days so I haven't used them just yet. However, I am VERY happy with the price, the service, etc. The owner of the shop is very friendly and helpful!

I'm having a friend do mine, but I think this is who my sister used in June, and she was the most reasonable we could find.  The flowers turned out very nice too. Susan Sherry Suzy Q Weddings 330-322-0285

Roses for weddings in Medina is really great so far - for 8 BMs, 8 GMs + FI, me, 3 grandmas, 2 moms, 2 dads, 2 grandfathers and aisle runner (not doing ceremony decor) it was about 592(or something around there - I also have her doing about 45 CPs so my price is a bit higher lol) but Ety is super nice to work with so far! I think ppl on here have had good experiences with her too! HTH!

I'm getting my flowers through my local Giant Eagle floral department.  They are nice to work with, cheap, and I get gas perks!
