norweigan cruisers??

I'm going on a cruise to alaska in august - norweigan pearl.  has anyone done this cruise or has anyone been on this boat?  I'm trying to figure out which restaurants are good, and what excursions to do?  It's tough since we'll have the baby, but my whole family will be there, so we'll have help if I want to do an excursion without him.  thanks!

    You're going to have so much fun! I did the Alaskan crusie, but through Royal Caribbean.  I can't give you any tips on Norweigan obviously though. If there's any way you can, try and get a window table at dinner.  We did and we would see whales breaching while we were eating dinner....there was just something cool about that.

    i havent done this cruise nor boat, but i love Norweigan!  i could never imagine not having freestyle dining.  we sailed dawn from NYC and it was a beautiful ship.

    I went on Princess to Alaska. I'm sure Norweign has the same excursions though. We did the dog sledding in Skagway, that was really fun, we learned all about the dogs etc. and saw some puppies and the dogs pulled us in this golf cart, as part of their excercise routine and summer training. Bring binoculars!!! I cannot stress that enough. We saw a brown bear family on land while we were sailing, eagles, whales and sea otters, without the binoculars you won't be able to see anything. Also bring some rain gear. You'll need it. Have fun!

    I love NCL as well.  I have not been on the Pearl, but have been on the Gem, one of the sister ships in the series.  Cagney's is amazing.  OMG, some of the best food I have ever had.  Service was amazing as well (in all the resturants).  Normally I would say stay away from the sushi bar...but I found the sushi just as good as some of the best sushi places around here.  Bowling is so much fun on the ship, and you are going to totally want to hit up Bliss Lounge (find someone to baby sit).  No help on the excurstions, but have a great time!  Check out [url]http://www.cruisecritic.com/[/url]...they could give you an idea of some things to do.
