Need some help

I posted yesterday that I would post up the possible wording for my invites / rsvps. They are in my bio under photo galleries and under paper.I am looking for critiques on wording, fonts, whatever. Just ignore the background color; I was playing around in paint. The invitation will have more detail then the current wording, it's just that it's pre-printed on the card stock.*Also added the other DIY projects from this weekend to my DIY section and the programs are still chugging along. I don't know how / or what I'm doing for the actual ceremony yet. Eeek.

Is it a religious ceremony?  If not, you should take the "u" out of "honour".  "Thirty First" does not need to be capitalized.Should be "at three o'clock in the afternoon"I'm assuming you're having a directions/map insert, so you don't need the actual addresses on the invitation. For the reception part, you could just say "Dine. Dance. Celebrate. at "Reception Site Name" aftewards."  That way it would be as wordy.  Hope this helps and I'm sure other ladies will have other comments.

Program is on there too. It's just a rough draft, but what do you guys think? I felt it was too plain without a decoration of some sort so I put the leaf on the bottom of the 1st page of the program. Then I started second guessing myself since I couldn't put the leaf on the other pages.  Should I leave it as it w/ the one leaf, or should I go with something else? Also- when I copied into paint, the wording isn't centered in some areas and isn't even on top vs bottom. That is all correct in the actual word documents. \gah! So many questions and now I'm starting to lose my mind.

Navy, Thank you! I'm not having a majorly religious ceremony. So I will take out the u. For the ceremony location do I leave it like it is? Or do I take out that location as well?and for the reception site do it like this*********** Naval BaseMWR Activity Center"Instead of ********* Naval BaseMWR Activity CenterCity, StateTHANKS!

If you take a look at my invitation (it's under paper in my bio) you can see how I formatted mine.  I think as long as you put the city and state for the ceremony location (not the entire address though) then you can leave it off the reception location. The leaf kind of throws me off on the program.  I think you need something there, but that particular leaf doesn't work for me.  Maybe an outline of a leaf would be better.

I know I don't post here often anymore but I wanted to comment on the wording and the use of "honour" with the "u".  We didn't have a religious ceremony either and spelled it as "honour" on our invites.  I was under the same impression of its use but apparently having the "u" is also the old english formal way of spelling it.  That was explained to me by my mother and wedding planner when I told them I thought the use of the "u" was incorrect since we were having an outdoor wedding.  I think if you like it with the "u" then keep it :-)

Yeah, it's more typical to use honour in a religious ceremony but only because they tend to be more formal. It's totally up to you if you include it, but if you do, you also have to spell "favour" with a u (if you use that word on your reply). That's really the only rule.

I would use the font that is in your program in your invites also. I like the program font better and think it will look better with your names font.
