GIS Ladies Walk and Run - Join!!! :)

I just started up a blog for us at http://gisladies.travellerspoint.com/ and the idea is to update it each Monday so that the running and walking done during the weekend can come into the calculation. So I'll write first one post where you can add your two cents (MANY MILES :) ) and then write a new entrance with a map on how far we've reached during that week. Comments are allowed on the second entry that day too of course, but the "mileage" should go into the first one, please. Like I wrote in the first blog entry, please don't feel pressure to join every week unless you feel like it. Sporadic participation is as much welcome as weekly such! I know that I won't add the longest distances, but I'll try and set a good example, hehe. <3 B.

Re: GIS Ladies Walk and Run - Join!!! :)

• This is a graat idea. I am following a girl (on her blog)  that i saw when i was visiting boston...she is going ot be the youngest girl to run across america http://www.paveyourlane.com/. Although participating with all your girls and doing a handful of miles at a time, virtually, is more my speed.
• oooo I LOVE this idea!!  How do I join?  Can I add my miles from last week even though it's Tuesday??
• great! yeah just add them to the first post as a reply on it. i've set the settings to be open for everyone so you don't have to register on the site. we might get some nasty spam, but i'll do my best to clean it up!
• This is a great idea.  Thanks for setting this up.I do have one question.  I'm not good at following directions.  Will we all add up our miles for the week and enter one time or should we add as we go?  I did 1.5 miles this morning and I'm not sure if I should put it in now or next Monday.  Sorry!

• Yay! B- thanks for taking the time to do this! So, I also want to clarify, because I'm a little slow. Posting on Mondays for mileage from the last week, not posting daily? If we're starting today, do we include last week, or start tracking today and post next week?
• It would be easier for me if you'd post only once a week and do the math for your own part from all the days. Otherwise it's a lot of calculating of bits and peaces :) Or if you're travelling on a Monday and know you won't exercise anymore that week, then post early, telling me so :)
• Sounds good.  Thanks for coordinating!
