Parasols?

Two-fold question:1) What's the weather like in April?  We're doing pictures at Neon Boneyard, and I'm concerned that it might be too hot, or that it might rain.  (It's the desert, it can do both at the same time.)2) In case of bad weather, I was thinking of getting my girls parasols.  I have them in non-matching dresses; should I get them each a different parasol, or should I get them all the same one?

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

I got my parasols at pearlriver.com they are simple and I love them. Just so you know average rain fall in vegas for april is .15 inches. The Average high is 78 degrees.  Hope this helps!

Did you already get to book the Boneyard? I inquired about May and they said I had to wait until January to book for May.

I hadn't even thought about booking it yet, that's good to know.

When I inquired about June they said to contact them in March.  I guess there is going to be some construction happening in November and they don't want to book that far ahead.  Anyway, that was the line they fed me. Also, be aware that the wedding shoots they allow consist of only the bride and groom.

Weather is pretty great in April...I'm getting married then as well. The one thing you do have to worry about is very strong wind...also if it rains I don't think parasols will be enough, I though they were made of very thin paper?   I'm going with parasols from pearlriver.com and am getting them in the same color for my bm's

We got married in late April and the weather was absolutely ideal!  It was very windy but that didn't really matter - I actually like the depth the wind gives to our pictures.  It was low to mid 80s during the day and mid 60s at night.

I wanted to do a shoot at the boneyard the day after our wedding in October but I have to get back to her in August because they are starting construction in either Oct/Nov now, where as when i emailed them last year they said that it would be open to the public by Oct this year.  So maybe email them and check

Thanks, Vicky, I'll do that.  (And doing Boneyard the day after the wedding is such a great idea, FI also suggested it last night.)  Since the weather will probably be pretty ideal, I'll skip the parasols and get the girls a gift they'll get a bit more mileage out of.  Thanks, ladies!
