Anyone for recommendations? Classic Bakery is so far the best one but wanted to see any recommendations from others. Our Venue is Mt. Airy Mansion in Upper Marlboro.
Sticky Fingers. They are amazing. There are two reasons I'm not eloping: (1) my fiance wants a wedding and (2) I can have a cake from sticky fingers at our wedding.
We're using Elizabeth with Upper Crust. We had a tasting with her and really like her personality and her cakes were yummy. She was really open to our ideas, and her prices include decoration.
You have to try Margie with Artistic Cake Creations. Her cakes are incredible and she really has the best prices around! When we did our tasting back in Feb., her cakes started at $1.50 a slice. She's based in WV but she delivers anywhere in this area.
We are using Wanda's Cakes. She's based in Centreville and works out of her home. Since she runs everything herself she has GREAT prices, and also her cakes taste delicious!
Our groom's cake was delish and it was from Fancy Cakes by Leslie. She is expensive, but rated the best by Washingtonian. Our wedding cake was from Custom Cakes and they are much more reasonably priced. We still loved it as well.
We are getting a cake from Sugarbakers: http://www.sugarbakerscakes.com/All of the references RAVED about Sugarbakers, and according to one mother of the bride, it was the best tasting wedding cake she's ever had. They are located outside of Baltimore, so you'd need a car to get there.
