hmm...I have 12 tables...we've been on 5 vaca's together- im thinking our top 12 fave things to do together?oooh What if i put on the place card table"These are a few of our favorite things..." (like the song)or is there another saying i can use?
Both FI and I are huge animal lovers and have always had pets growing up and now. We are not doing favors but are instead doing donations to an animal shelter. We are considering giving each table the name of one of our pets past or present and having our donation cards have a pic of that specific pet.
If your a baseball fan, we had reprints done of actual Yankee tickets and instead of table #s, we had each table labeled a Section in the bleachers where DH has season tixx (then moved into the stadium). My brother built us a replica Yankee stadium and the tickets were displayed there. It was a cute personal touch and everyone loved it...it also served a dual purpose as a momento b/c everyone took them home and said they were keeping their ticket forever! Pics to come of all this I swear! I have alot of crap to sell too!
Jersey girls are so creative. All awesome ideas.Karma - I love the idea of taking pictures of ourselves holding the table numbers! How cute! Chloe - Kudos to the animal shelter donation and the pics of your pets. Close to my heart, 'cause I have three dogs here and all are rescues.Krista - I think that's the most creative idea I've ever heard for table numbers! That must have been a lot of work. If I didn't go through a wicked "awkward" phase from 11-14...I'd probably do that too! (Maybe those tables could be just him?...) lol
If you don't have enough vacations or destination-type places that you have visited together, you can do local places that have special meaning to you. I went to one wedding where the tables were named not only after towns in NJ, but restaurants, parks, bars, etc. that had special meaning to them. For example, they had each of their home towns, the place where they got engaged, the restaurant where they went on their first date, etc. To tie it all in, each table had a photo of them at the location, and an explanation of why it was special to them.
