Invite brother's girlfriend's family

My only brother and his girlfriend have been together for nearly five years and I am very close to both of them. It is very likely she will be my sister-in-law someday. So, do I invite her parents and brother to my big family wedding? I haven't decided yet whether to include her in the ceremony, but she and my brother will be seated at the head table.

Not unless you are close to her parents and brother on their own rights. Both of my sisters were married before I was I did not invite the parents or siblings of either of my BILs.

It's up to you. If money is tight and you need to crunch numbers, then no, of course not. But if you would like for them to be there (is your family close to theirs?), and can afford to invite them, then sure. You are by no means obligated to invite your brother's GF's family though.

My Fi's sister got married July 4th and she invited my parents. I know they were happily surprised when they got the invite. My mom loved going to the shower with me and my parents had a blast at the wedding. So from the FSIL's perspective it's a nice gesture. How do your brother and fi feel about it?

I invited my brother in law's & sister in law's folks to the wedding. Totally not necessary, but a very nice gesture if you have the budget and the inclination.

I've met her parents a few times and hung out with her brother a few times. There may be room physically for them and three more people won't break the budget, though I'm always trying to save $$$.

I don't think there's any obligation to invite them. If you want to, go ahead, but if you're looking for places to cut the guest list and save money, don't invite them.

My sister's boyfriend's brother just got married and they invited my parents. My sister's boyfriend's parents are on my guest list even though I only met them once for less than 5 minutes. My sister's boyfriend is also in our wedding party. They will probably be getting engaged in the next few months.

My brother and his gf have been together for 10 years and I'm not inviting her parents. I've hung out with them a few times, nice people but a little crazy. You don't have an obligation at all to invite them.
