Hi! I am so glad that I found this board! My name is Dana. My partner and I are getting married June 27, 2010 in Raleigh, NC. It's really nice to be amongst other gay engaged couples.

    Welcome!  I have found people welcoming to gay couples all over The Knot, but it's nice also to have a special board where we can talk about our own particular issues.

    HI Dana! Welcome! I felt the same way when I found this board! My partner and I are getting married May 14, 2011, in Memphis, TN! Needless to say I will be hanging around for a while, since our wedding is so far away!

    Hello Dana! I felt the same way when I found this board! I'm from NC also, but we haven't set a date yet. How are you getting along finding vendors & such? I'm from the coastal region, and just starting my journey. I'm rather curious.

    We booked our vendor in mid July for next June. Since it is in the summer, we went with an indoor location. We are going to use Caffe Luna in Raleigh for our ceremony and reception. They fit in our budget. Everyone we dealt with while researching locations has been truly friendly towards us. We looked in Durham as well. I bet the NC coast will be beautiful for your wedding! Let me know how your search progresses.
