Need opinion on BM gift

I have gotten my girls a few other gifts, but nothing personal, so I wanted to get each of them a silver frame (which they can put a pic from the wedding) and possibly have something engraved on it.  My question is what to have engraved?  Date of wedding, our names, thanks for being part of my special day?? I don't want it to be tacky and something they would enjoy having.Any suggestions appreciated.TIA!

I have been on the receiving end of an engraved gift gone wrong. Please don't put the wedding date or your and FI's names. If anything, I would reflect on the friendship or something of the sort. FI and a friend of ours received beer glasses last year for being in a wedding with their initials and the date of the wedding. It was a thoughtful gift - however, what do we need a glass with someone else's wedding date on it? A picture frame might be different, but I would still engrave a friendship quote or thank you.

I sorta agree with smange... I think it would be okay to include the date (as long as its small... and maybe just 01.01.09 or something like that...) but I wouldn't put you and FI's names on it.  I agree a nice friendship quote would be a better option. My personalized gift for my girls was I designed stationary on vistaprint - a note pad, note cards, sticky notes, and a pen... the whole thing was $5.00 and they LOVED them.  And it had their name on it (nothing wedding related) and they each got a design to fit their personality.  Just another suggestion!

I agree with the others on the engraved items.  Also, I have to say I don't think a picture frame is very personal.  I probably have 20 in a box.  I think the Vista Print stationary is a better idea.  This is just my honest opinion...

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.  I like the idea of stationery even more so because 3 of my BM's are teachers and they may get some use of that.  I just want to give them something they can use, I have gotten so many BM gifts that I am sad to say I never used or they are sitting in a box.

Honestly if you engrave anything on it that would make me not display it. I would skip the engraving
