How possible is it to have 2 weddings within 2 hrs of eachother??

Some of you may remember my situation with my church (long story, see link below if you want to read about it).

So now the church is trying to have my wedding at the original scheduled time 5pm and told me after the fact that the other bride would get married at 3pm !!!!!!!!!! Why they offered her a 3pm, I couldn't tell you. My planner doesn't think it can happen because its cutting it really close (time is needed for other bride to take pics, clean up etc.)

Do you think its possible to have a 3pm and a 5pm wedding ? that's if the other bridal party is on time and of course no one can predict that but God. Oh and my florist needs 30-45 mins to put florals on the pews, so she needs to get in the church no later than 4pm. My cocktail hour is at 6:30.

That's how it always goes at a Catholic church- the first ceremony is at 1, the second at 3. You should just get something in writing from the church as to when the first BP has to be out by- it's usually a 1/2 hour after the ceremony, but I'm sure your florist can start putting your pew stuff on before then- they would most likely just take pics at the altar after, anyway....

It's feasible, but you are probably going to want to consider doing pictures at a location beforehand and maybe doing a first look so you can get your pictures out of the way because you probably wont have any time before the ceremony starts to take pics in the church since guests start arriving anytime after 4:30 for a 5pm wedding. That way you can just do your posed church pics and head to the reception.

my church offers 1 and 3pm weddings. i took the 1 so i know i wont have anyhone before me. i just went to one in july where the bridal party was getting in their limo to leave as i (a guest) was walking in. Kinda strange

To have a wedding at 1 and one at 3 is possible. To have one at 3 and then at 5, thats cutting close and I wouldn't do it. Then again thats just me
