Biltmore Estate?

So I've found the Biltmore thanks to Knot.. I'm not originally from NC so I had never heard of it before. It looks amazing, but is worth the money it would take to travel back and forth from Durham to plan and such? (I know I'm asking a lot of questions about places but I don't know the area well and I'm just curious, thanks!)

Biltmore Estate is one of the most stunning places in Western NC (I think). If I were you, I would take a weekend trip to check it out and decide for yourself. It is a pricey venue, but in my opinion, very impressive. I've never seen a wedding there in person, but the estate is pretty incredible.

Biltmore is gorgeous. However, its pretty expensive. Last time I heard you have to purchase admission for each of your guests to the the Estate on top of the fees Biltmore charges for a wedding, though that could have changed in the last couple years since I planned my wedding. It is a fantastic place to attend a wedding though, very memorable.

okay so 1 you've never heard of the Biltmore Estate? Thats kinda crazy, arent you supposed to  learn about the Vanderbilts in school or something. Anyways...My cuz just got married there in June. It was gorgous, there are many different places that you can get married there because it's so big. It is pricey(I'm not sure about purchasing the admissions ticket, i dont think you have to do that, because they arent visiting the house, unless you want them to). Its a wonderful venue and if i could have a mini-destination wedding Id want it there. You should take a weekend to go visit and meet with the people to talk prices!

The catering rep sent me a PDF wedding book with their prices and stuff I am seriously thinking about going to look. Price really isn't much of an issue, but my goal would be to spend more on decor and food than on the price of renting the venue. And its been a long time since I've been in school. I'm sure I did but i certainly don't remember! LOL

It would be a beautiful venue!  Totally worth travelling back and forth.  JMO!

Sweet - money isn't an issue! Just remember that your venue sets the tone for all other expenses and tends to be 50% of the total cost of your wedding. It would be stunning though - such a beautiful place.
