1. How long did you date before you got engaged? 1 year, 4 months2. Did you get the ring you wanted? I asked for a round diamond, with a few smaller diamonds on the band. I got a much larger diamond then I thought I wanted and a plain band. I love it, and will change the band on a future engagement, but the center stone is beautiful.3. Was the proposal a complete surprise? yes! See bio for full story4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? Nope - I love it :)5. Did you cry when he proposed? No, I OMGed about 400 times!6. Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how. Both - The things he said, so romantic, the fact we were on the water and he was scared that he would drop it, so he tied i to his pants are creative lol7. Are you buying his wedding band for him? Already did - I cant wait till it comes in!8. Have you gone over your origional wedding budget? A bit, yes. Originally we decided x amount for the wedding, but when the venue took more then half of that amount, we had to adjust our budget #.9. What was your biggest wedding day splurge (aside from the obvious "reception/food/drinks") definately photographer - I never thought I would spend so much, but she is worth every penny!

1. How long did you date before you got engaged? 5 1/2 years2. Did you get the ring you wanted? Yes, I hinted for a non-round center stone with diamonds on the band which is exactly what I got.3. Was the proposal a complete surprise? yes! Christmas morning in our house with our brand new puppies under the XMAS tree. It was wrapped in a present and he def. got me!4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? Nope - I love it :)5. Did you cry when he proposed? Yes, and then at 8:05 in the morning I rushed him to go upstairs to get dressed so we could go to our families houses and we cried all over again.6. Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how. Not really romantic. He was sitting indian style on the floor with the puppies crawling all over him and he didn't say anything super sweet, but I had been thinking it was coming for a few months before and it didn't happen so I guess I just pushed it out of my mind so far that he caught me off guard.7. Are you buying his wedding band for him? Yes, I bought his band from our jeweler.8. Have you gone over your origional wedding budget? We def. went over budget and looking back, the small stuff wasn't necessary but in the end it was a great day!9. 1. How long did you date before you got engaged? 11 months, but we were BFFs for a long time before dating.2. Did you get the ring you wanted? YES! I drooled over it for months and he had told me he couldn't get me a ring that I'd already seen. He did in the end!3. Was the proposal a complete surprise? I was hoping but not thinking it was going to happen that night :)4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? No, my ring suits my personality perfectly. Unique and gorgeous. Can't have a gargantuin ring around horses, and who wants to take it off?? :)5. Did you cry when he proposed? Yes, and he was armed with a travel-size pack of tissues.6. Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how. It was romantic. FI took me to Le Bec-Fin in Philly (top 5 in the country) and popped the question right after appetizers in front of everyone. The head chef/owner came out and congratulated us with champagne

What was your biggest wedding day splurge (aside from the obvious "reception/food/drinks") So far it's been the photographer, but we're getting everything we want and will have the photos forever, so it's worth it.

Yes I did! round middle stone with 5 smaller diamonds on each side of the band and one in front and one in back for a total of 13 diamonds3. Was the proposal a complete surprise? he thinks it was, but I had a feeling about it-see bio for details4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond?No, I love the size, it's perfect for me.5. See bio-I thought it was creative to have me go down my fave slide and he be at the bottom with my ring, but once he asked me to marry him he stood up. I had to ask him to put it on my finger. 7. Are you buying his wedding band for him? He bought his himself-he works for a jewelry dept and it was on sale and he couldn't pass it up, so he just bought it. I was miffed at first but now I'm fine with it.8. Have you gone over your origional wedding budget? My parent's are paying for a majority of the wedding and my budget was "don't go overboard". I've been really good with getting deals (invites with employee discount, silk flowers, venue that includes everything). The only thing I went over on was the videographer.9. What was your biggest wedding day splurge (aside from the obvious "reception/food/drinks")Videographer-i've seen his work and he's amazing, plus he gets your DVD to you in a week.

All of our money is together in 1 account anyway, so we both bought both rings8. Have you gone over your origional wedding budget? YES9. What was your biggest wedding day splurge (aside from the obvious "reception/food/drinks")I would say the invitations, reception stationary, etc...I in no way thought I would ever spend that much on something like that, but after seeing PTP's work, I had to have it!

Neither, I was in a miserabe mood and he popped the question in a parking lot. Apparently it was supposed to be later that night but he thought it would cheer me up, lol. 7. We went a little over budget, but way under what we had originally planned.9. She gave it to him about a month before she passed away. It's a gorgeous 1 ct round diamond.3. Was the proposal a complete surprise? Not really. I knew something was up that day. Plus, we always talked about getting engaged soon. Our babygirl was due a month after he proposed.4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? Nope. I love my ring.5. On our front door he put a sign up that read "Bean, welcome to memory lane." As I walked in their were rose petals leading from the front door and into our living room. Along the way he set up tables that displayed different things that we kept though our relationship like ticket stubs, etc. He had a 6 month table, 1 year, and so on. Then when I entered the living room, he had spread out a bunch of our pictures into the shape of a heart. Then, he got down on one knee and proposed.7. Are you buying his wedding band for him? I really can't think of anything. I tried very hard to stick to the budget. The only thing I really had to have was the reception site.

Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond?My ring is perfect and I love it!5. Did you cry when he proposed? A little. I just could not believe it was happening.6. Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how. We were in the Governor's Palace in Williamsburg, VA. We walked out the doors to the Garden where there is a clam shell walkway with 2 large beds of colorful tulips on each side. On the sides of the tulip beds there are trees that intermingle at the top creating an arch. I sat on a bench and that is where he asked me. When we left the next day we etched our names into the bench.7. Are you buying his wedding band for him? We bought it together.8. Have you gone over your origional wedding budget? No... We actually did really well with our budget.9. What was your biggest wedding day splurge (aside from the obvious "reception/food/drinks") Chivari Chairs, table cloths and our flowers. YES-I had picked another one out years ago and changed my mind but never told him. He ended up picking the perfect ring that I didn't even know I wanted.3. He said in july 2008 that we would get engaged before 2009, well he proposed on Dec. 29Th so there weren't too many days left to go...lol.4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? It is perfect5. Did you cry when he proposed? Yes i did, there was lots of kissing, crying and hugging.6. Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how. we were on a cruise ship on the top deck alone at midnight with some drinks just relaxing on some lounge chairs under the stars and in the middle of the conversation about greek mythology and how it relates to constellations (one of the more romantic stories but i can't remember) He got onto one knee and popped the question.7. Are you buying his wedding band for him? I would like too but we haven't really discussed it yet8. Have you gone over your origional wedding budget? Actually we think we might come under, but time will tell.9. I'm at work and bored.. I know this was posted days ago but I'm going to add... 1. How long did you date before you got engaged? A bit over 2.5 years.2. Did you get the ring you wanted? He picked out a better ring than I picked out when we went shopping for them!3. Was the proposal a complete surprise? No, nor would I have wanted it to be! Surprises = anxiety.4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond?Nope - it's just the way I wanted it. I wish it was a half size smaller though, but I can't bear getting it resized again!5. Did you cry when he proposed? Kind of... but no. Long story.6. Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how. It was creative. I knew it was coming and he still slightly surprised me by the manner in which he did it. My love.7. Are you buying his wedding band for him? Our finances have been combined for the last nearly 2 years. Me buying it is the same as him buying it, just like him buying my engagement ring was the same as me buying it. Haha.8. Have you gone over your origional wedding budget? We're not that far along yet, but I'm trying hard to stay within it!9. What was your biggest wedding day splurge (aside from the obvious "reception/food/drinks") No splurges besides that yet. We may have an AV setup so we can do this idea that I had which would be an extra/unnecessary addition.
