shoe cleaning

My shoes are my "something borrowed" and need some cleaning. They're satin pumps. Should I try to do it myself or take them somewhere?

    Dardanos (in Denver on Colorado and Florida/Iowa) does a great job with cleaning shoes.  I've had two pair of satin shoes cleaned there.  I cannot remember the cost of just cleaning because the first ones also need repairing and the second ones I dyed as well.  The dying AND the cleaning were $42 after tax.
