With 1 month to go, I need to have a lot of productive wedding planning days, but at least yesterday was a shining start!
). I found a lipstick I like for the wedding. Obviously this is small, but I have the palest skin and strawberry blonde hair, and it's hard to find a color that's nice but shows well on photos!
). I had an appt for a haircut and my stylist trimmed my hair and then decided to do an impromtu trial of wedding curls. I loved what she did, and I'm no longer worried about not having any kind of head piece or veil. FI lit up more than usual when I came home and he saw me.
). I completely changed our flowers from cascading orchid bouquets to hand-tied daisies, roses, and button mums. Super plus-the florist thinks that we'll be able to incorporate some peonies, too, since they seem to be late blooming this year. YAY!
). We decided to do a card box that looks like our (very rectangular) 160 year old colonial home. I started it last night, and so far it looks adorable! We're crazy about this house, and it just seems so right to have some kind of tribute to it.
). This isn't really wedding related, but it was so sweet. We had to write up a short bio for our church bulletin (we become members this Sunday). FI wrote it, and in it he said that "We are the proud parents of DD and DS." I know that he feels that way and he says it to me, but the public written declaration in a church bulletin totally made my heart melt. He's the best.
