MB brides, future or past

So, I have been watching the weddings online, and I am not liking the officiant or maybe it's the the fact that the ceremonies are ALL the same. Have any of you paid the $500 to customize your ceremony? Or did you request something like a reading, unity candle, etc and they told you it would cost the $500 to customize? I am really considering paying the money, but I am also wondering if the officiant would be able to pull it off. Did any of you or are any of you paying for the rehearsal? My guy is insistant on it, but I would rather spend the money on other things. Did you use your own music from a cd or are you going to? I am highly considering it, just wondering who is going to push all the buttons. What songs did you use? I think I have decided on the song for my entrance, but that's about it. I am not digging the piano music, but every ceremony I have seen online has used a piano.

I haven't figured out what I want to do about the officiant yet but I definetly didn't want to pay that much for the rehersal. We've decided to just do that in our suite. As for music, we are going to use the piano for the wedding March in addition to our own CD.

We are not going to do the rehersal, because I want to spend the money on things like the "aisle treatment" and upgrade my flowers instead, also we might not have bridesmaids and groomsmen, so that would also take away the need for a rehearsal....still need to decide on the music...

I am curious as well about "who pushes the buttons" on personal CD music. We're considering Mandalay Bay as well - either in the chapel or Valley of the Falls. However, I really want a personal recessional song to walk away from the alter to... we're thinking Springsteen's Born To Run, haha. I'm just unsure of all the logistics as well.

They have several different officiants. Have you looked into which one would be doing your wedding?  We found one that we liked and requested him.We are not spending the extra money on the rehearsal...I don't think it is worth.  You can just watch a couple wedding online and get the idea. :)We are just going to use the piano player but haven't decided on the songs yet.Good luck!

We did not have a reherasal. The price was something like $450 which is crazy.  We watched a few weddings on line and our coordinator went over everything with us right before the ceremony started.  We had the unity candle and they did not charge us anything extra.  I think that my coordinator told me that we would only need to pay the $500 fee (to customize our ceremony), if we wanted to do something way out of the ordinary during the ceremony which might extend the time that we would need the chapel.  We also asked the minister to add a prayer to our ceremony and there was no extra charge. We only used the cd for when I walked down the isle.  I'm not sure who "pushed the button" but I think that it was one of the staff members because our coordinator was talking to the person on the head set and telling them when to cue the music.

Hi,We've just booked Valley of the Falls. We're not going to bother with a rehearsal, I don't think we'll need it. We're only having one bridesmaid and a best man. I've just asked my WC if we can have our own music on a CD so I'll let you know what she says. We may have the violinist play for a while, but we want our own music for the ceremony. I do think that their prices are quite high for some things, we're paying an extra $1250 for VOTF, but they're not as high as the prices at Wynn.
