charger plates

hi, I have a quick question about charger plates. Do most ppl rent them or purchase them? My reception supplies nice china and linens, etc so I am fortunate that way. But i really like the look of charger plates, esp the glass beaded ones. Prices online seem all over the place.If anyone has advice that would be great!thank you,

The nice glass ones rent here in Dallas for around $3-4 a piece. Too high for my budget.I was going to buy the acrylic ones and sell them afterwards, but I found someone who will rent them for $1 apiece so I'm doing that.

My daughter rented them for her wedding from the same vendor she used for the chiavari chairs.

thank you guys for replying. i am getting married in texas as well and it seems to be around the 3-4$ mark and i do not know what i would do with 120 charger plates. if you rent them, do you rent them in the area of the wedding or from an online rental? i am in living in nashville and getting married in houston. and where do you find them for $1 to rent?

I would try your local board. You can rent chargers from party rental, linen rental places, etc. If you buy the acrylic ones, you can probably resell them after the wedding. I think I got lucky finding someone to rent the acrylic ones.
