MOB shopping

So today my SIL, FMIL and MOB all went into the City to go dress shopping. Not for me, just for the moms. My FMIL didn't find anything but my mom found a dress she loved! It happens to be my wedding colors black, purple, and green. She really loves it which I am so glad because she has put on some weight recently and isn't as comfortable in clothes as she used to be.     Very cute and if she loves it and is comfortable that is great - I think that is the most important part - that way she will have fun and not be preoccupied with feeling uncomfortable in what she is wearing. Its a bit casual, but if your wedding isn't super formal it should be fine. My wedding is in the evening and its slightly formal so my mom got a long dress with a bit of bling, but she is also 66 and a bit overweight so she wouldn't have been comfortable in what your mom chose. If she's happy I say go for it. Plus its on sale so even if she finds something different its a great dress for the rehearsal or a shower or something.

    I agree with everything Molly said - my first priority was that my mom and FMIL be comfortable and warm in what they're wearing. I told them they didn't have to stick to my wedding colors - just pick whatever makes them happy.So if she likes it and feels good in it, and it fits the feel/formality of your wedding, I say go for it.

    If she feels good in it then it;s fabulous.  I think my mom tried on more dresses than i did.
