Random new boards

Did anyone notice there are now Pakistani Wedding, Indian Wedding, Hindu Wedding, and Muslim Wedding boards?  I hope people keep posting here, because that seems to break it down much too far!  I wonder what the impetus was for that?

    oh wow!  I agree, that's too bad!  I like having it all together here.  plus not sure there are enough of us to split up like that  :(

    oh no! I like that this is all together SA because people are from different parts that would leave my Sri Lankan self all alone :(

    I just saw that but no one  had written anything in the indian or hindu boards...wonder why they did that, I liked it better before!

    Weird, I just saw that when I logged on this weekend.  I'm definitely not a fan :(  I hope people keep coming here.  I've learned so much from all of you, and the specific sub-divisions don't seem to be a problem.

    Hmm... my FI and I are both Catholic but I love that all of you are here on this board for me to ask random cultural questions. I also hope people keep posting here!

    ditto!  I was so confused when I came on this morning and didn't see the SA board.  Then I saw the whole new cultural section.  I don't think it's necessary to separate it like that.  I like that you get so many more ideas and viewpoints from this board!

    Weird!  I didn't notice until you pointed it out.  I guess I can see the need for a Muslim weddings board because not all Muslims are SA, etc., but everything else -- meh.  Like the other girls say, I love the different backgrounds everyone here offers and so many SA traditions are universal, regardless of religion or country of origin (garland exchange in weddings, parent-pressure issues, etc.).

    d2m - I thought the same thing.  I posted on the Muslim board and see who else is out there ... but then I panicked at the thought that all of you might switch to the Indian and Hindu boards.  Glad to know I'm not hypocritical!I guess if no one uses those new boards, the powers that be at the Knot will remove them?  I hope new girls don't try posting there and not find us and feel disheartened!

    When did this happen?  ...this is going to get interesting-I can't keep up with all these baords.  Does anyone know if there is a way to have it set so an email is sent to you if a new post is added?

    The funny thing is that when you click on "Italian weddings" it instantly sends you to "Vintage weddings."  Masti, Knot Anni has a post on here about the new boards, so it just happened really recently.
