Honestly, I really can't complain. Our day went way better than I could've ever expected it would thanks to everyone we hired! Everything just fell into place and ran so smoothly. If anything major went wrong, I wouldn't have known about it!Greentree Country Club- A++++We knew we wanted to go with Greentree from the moment we met with them. They were so professional from the start, and that professionalism carried through up until the end of our wedding. Our maitre'd was Anthony and he was awesome. He made sure we stayed on time with everything and if we ever needed anything during the night, all we had to do was look up and he was on his way over. I had Sandra as my bridal attendant and she was also great. It felt awesome to be attended to all night. The food was phenomenal. So many guests complimented on it, especially the cocktail hour, saying it was the best they've ever seen. I could keep going about Greentree all day. They were just wonderful. The DJ Company- A++++It truly was a blessing in disguise when our original DJ bailed on us because these guys were awesome! The dance floor was packed all night and our guests commented all night on what a great job they did. They really made our party.Nick Carter- A++++Nick was simply amazing. He was so professional and personable, everyone loved him. He had a nice way of telling us when we had to get going so that we could stick to our timeline. He took many great shots, I cannot wait to see the pictures! He even brought along another photographer with him, which was totally a surprise and so nice of him. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.Halo Video- A+For the price, you really can't beat Halo Video. We had Barry as our videographer, who was very nice and seemed to do a nice job. He also brought along a colleague, which we were not expecting. I'm not sure if she was in training or what, but she used her camera to help him interview the tables since we wanted everyone to have a chance to say something and there were quite a few people at our reception!Bed of Roses florist- A++At first I was a little nervous about going with BOR's as I didn't know anyone that had used them before me. We met the owner Carl at a bridal show and DH and I just went with our gut and booked with him. Carl was so receptive to my every request and our flowers came out absolutely beautiful and perfect. For what we got, we would've paid way more with most other Westchester florists.TLC limo- A++These guys were so great. They were professional and on time with all of the pick ups. They were right there to open the doors for us, calm me down as I prepared to take my walk down the aisle, and fix my train as I headed down. They had champagne ready for us after our ceremony as well. It's no wonder they made The Knot's best of weddings!Christine of Color Makeup Studio- A+Christine did my makeup, my mom's and one of my bridesmaid's. Everyone looked amazing. She had all of her notes from my trial so there wasn't any question about what I wanted.Backstage Salon- A++I'm not sure how, but our updo stylist, Christine, banged out 7 updos in less than 3 hours and everyone looked amazing. The staff was so friendly and their prices were great. I loooooved how my hair came out. I wasn't too crazy about my trial, but Christine assured me that it would be perfect on the day of my wedding, and it was! It held up all night too, which is tough for my hair since it's so fine.David's Bridal- A+I know there have been a lot of mixed reviews about DB, but my experience with them was great. I bought my dress and veil from the Albany location and everyone there was so nice. Both things came in earlier than expected too. 10 days before our wedding, I noticed a tear in my veil from my cat, and DB in Yonkers replaced it with no questions asked.Men's Wearhouse- B+Out of the 9 tuxes that were rented, only 2 of them had minor issues. One of the groomsmen had pants that were too small and my dad's pants came in stained. Both problems were corrected by the time of the wedding, so it ended up working out just fine.Mary and Patty's Alterations- BMy dress ended up coming out beautifully but it took a lot to get it to that point. I had about 4 fittings because there was always something that was missed. The first time I was supposed to pick up my dress, it hadn't even been done yet. That pushed everything back so my dress wasn't ready until 2 days before the wedding. Granted, I was there during the busiest time of the year, but even still, they told me when to come and when the dress would be ready by so I was going by their word. I would still recommend them because they did do a nice job, but just be sure to give yourself extra time!Costa Rica- A+++I would recommend Costa Rica as a honeymoon destination in a second. We spent the first half of our trip on the beach at an all-inclusive, the Grand Papagayo, and it was great. The weather was beautiful, the people were friendly, and the food and drinks were delicious. The second half of our trip was spent in the rainforest at the Arenal volcano. Although it rained most of the time we were there (yes, it does rain in the rainforest! LOL), it was sooo romantic. We stayed at a resort that had hot springs which were heated from the volcano, and they were amazing. While the resort was expensive and not all inclusive, it was soo worth it!Phew, well I think I covered all of our major vendors, and I would be happy to answer any questions that anyone might have!
