Hi!  My name is Lauren and I'm originally from New York.  I'm new to the knot due to having a friend plan most of my wedding for me.  I'm almost done, but I wanted to introduce myself cuz I'm sure I will need some help soon.

    Wedding is November 14th in New York.  I moved here to work at HP and I'm not going to lie, I do have a New York attitude.  I've been in Houston for 8 months and I still get lost downtown...weird to believe especially from being from Manhattan.

    My wedding is at the Crowne Plaza in New York.  It better be amazing for the price this thing is costing us.  Can't wait for the wedding to be over and be on my honeymoon.

    My FI is trying to transfer down here, but it's easier said than done.  My cousin is Katie, I think her screen name is Katiebird1981.  She doesn't come on here too often and she's just as clueless about Houston as me.  She just moved here a couple months ago. Not sure if you guys know her or not?!

    What have you found about H-Town that you like so far? Is the heat killing you? My friend from Boston said it is in the 70's there! What kind of work is you FI in? Is he trying to find a new job, or transfer within his company? Do you like to run? [I just like people who are runners, so I had to ask. I wont hate you if youre not! ;) ]

    What I like about Houston is that it's a big city and it's kind of similar to New York.  I'm actually used to the heat now.  My FI is a FBI agent and he could possibly work in Houston or near by. lol...I used to run, but I haven't in a long time.  I talk about it a lot with my cousin and she's been trying to push me, but I'm somewhat lazy.  Where do you run at?

    You're okay in my book then! lol, i just registered for the marathon, so i have running on the brain. I run in Katy, because I live out there. If youre inside the loop, Id suggest Memorial Park or Rice University. Both have good surfaces to run on. Terry Hershy Park is nice for longer runs.
