Well not much to report, a couple of small things:1. NWR: I managed to successfully travel to IL with my new kitten in tow. He is too attached to me to be away from me for 4 weeks. He was absolutely an angel on the flight. Not one peep the entire time. And now he is getting along famously with my Fi's cat.2. Our toasting flutes arrived. It's kind of nice to actually see something you have thrown money at arrive.3. My Ivory Baldwins(high heel Chinese Laundry Platforms) arrived after being backordered. I would have gone with the ones in store but they looked too tried on to buy. I also got a 15% discount by signing up for their newsletter online so that was good.4. Went shopping with my FMIL and found a proper gold cardstock for my STD cards, and I got it on sale for a grand total of $5.34 at the local Hobby Lobby in IL.5. She and I also found some nice wired ribbon in the style that I was looking for for our cake. I tried calling my baker to get an idea of how many yards they thought they needed for the cake but they couldn't tell me over the phone. I did the calculations tonight and I allowing for an extra 2 inches in the diameter of each cake for frosting and ladyfingers, I came up with an answer that 14 and 1/4 feet are needed to cover the circumference of all the tiers combined. But I had no clue how much ribbon they would need to do the bows. So as a precaution I bought 4 spools of 10 yards(30ft) each. If I have some left over I could always use it for gift wrapping later on. All I can say is that 120 ft of ribbon better be enough!6. This is sort of registry related: I went to a local shop out while visiting my FI, and they were selling china protector sets for around $12 for a 12 piece place setting. So I got one because the same thing would cost ~$80 at Bed Bath and Beyond and I would have to wait for someone to get me one off my registry.7. I checked in with the lady who is making my veil on Monday. I wanted to let her know that my first fitting would be in October. The good news is my veil should arrive by mid August! I will post when it does I am very excited to see what it will look like.
