AggieDaner

AggieDaner!  I must confess, I kept WONDERING if your FI was Hindu. He looks so much like my FI in that picture of you two - the first time I saw it was like WHY IS ANDY IN THAT PIC WITH THAT GIRL? haha. Then I realized it wasn't Andy.  Yes I am a whitey mcwhiterson too!   Anyways, we MUST get together and talk about wedding things!  How are you doing your ceremony?  Are you doing two different weddings or one?  Are you wearing a sari or a wedding dress?  Over the course of the wedding day I'm going to end up with three outfits - how crazy is that? anyways, my email is eaphillips at gmail dot com.  I would love to hear from you!Have you been on the South Asian message boards?  Those girls are great for anything Indian related (I still love our Austin girls, too!).

No joke, they do look bizarrely similar! We're actually having sort of a 2 day wedding with the American/western ceremony on the 2nd and the Hindu ceremony on the 3rd...I'm excited but also a tiny bit nervous. His parents are being amazing and planning the second day for us since neither of us would have any idea where to even start. As far as attire goes we'll be in bridal gown/tux on the first day and Lehenga/Kurta Pajama (ha) the second. I gave my MIL some examples of things that I liked and she'll be shopping for our outfits when she heads back to India in September...seriously, she's amazing. I'm so glad that his parents are so eager to help us out with all of the things that have to be taken care of!Anyhow, you'll be getting an email from me soon! :-)

Thanks for adding me on FB.  You and your FI are so cute!  Upon closer inspection, our FIs dont really look alike, but that one pic throws me every time! It's so nice to have helpful MILs!  We're doing a two-in-one ceremony and my MIL is bringing all of the Hindu items and taking care of that.  She's so sweet, I'm lucky that his family has been so open and accepting. THANK GOODNESS.  Oh, you're so lucky she's going to India!  That really is the best way to get good deals on clothes.  I had to bargain like crazy to get a halfway decent price on my lengha in Houston and I know I could have gotten it so much cheaper had my MIL been able to go to India (they had planned on it, but it just didn't work out).
