Wedding in a week, coordinator no longer with venue.

Help! My wedding is next Friday and I just got an email from the wedding coordinator at my reception venue telling me she is no longer with them.  So far I know I have to get the name and contact info for the new person who will be taking over and give that to my other vendors. Is there anything I can or should do to make sure this does not cause any problems and everything goes well?

    Is your venue Regency Lodge? I just emailed to ask for chair measurements (for covers) and got a reply from someone else saying she's the new wedding coordinator.  :(I would just make an appointment with the new person to go over the plan again, and then I would give their contact info to all your other vendors.  It's irritating, but shouldn't cause any problems.

    Cath, I just posted about this in the "Magnolia Hotel Costs" thread.  Don't freak out.  I talked to the person at the Magnolia this morning who is taking over for Mindell.  She was extremely nice and very reassuring.  Call the Hotel and ask for Amanda. She can answer any questions for you.  I'm assuming a wedding this weekend and your wedding next Friday are her top priorities right now, so I'm sure they'll do whatever is necessary to pick up where Mindell left off.  It'll be fine.  I'm excited to work with Amanda, she really sounded awesome over the phone.

    Actually I completely agree. Amanda sounds great. Although I wasn't too fond of Mindell anyways. Good luck with your wedding, mine is in 23 days at the Magnolia!

    I eventually got in contact with the people at the Magnolia and they were very helpful and supportive. We will be having a meeting Wednesday once my family gets in town to make sure that everything is correct and nothing gets lost in the transition.

    Great idea to have the meeting on Wednesday. Let me know how everything goes. I'm sure it will be amazing. We are getting married there in 4 weeks. I bet Amanda is great!

    I'm getting married at the Magnolia in November and just found out the same news. Can't say I'm sorry to see Mindell go. I've had problems with her from the start and she was not easy to work with. They did hire a new wedding coordinator. She is coming from the Ritz in Vegas, but won't start till the first week in August.

    Oh there's a new one?  I thought Amanda was taking over.  Well I guess I'll be meeting ANOTHER new person on August 5th (when we're discussing logistics.)  I have no idea how I want to walk in, which way I want the chairs to face, where I want guests to exit, etc...
