Trying to figure out my potential liquor expense....

Is there a template out there or some quick and easy way to come up with a liquor budget. I want champagne at my wedding for the toast, we're also getting a keg. But I want some wine maybe a few selections of white and dark liquor. But I'm not sure exactly how much I'll need. I haven't finished my guest list yet but we expect 200+. I'm trying to figure out the most economical way to do this.

  • evite has a general guide

  • Sorry, forgot to say that calculator uses Canadian liquor prices (higher), but it gives a great estimate fo what to buy!
  • champagne bottle - ~24 oz, so if you have 5 oz flutes you'll get 5 glasses per bottle.  Same for wine, unless you do the box wine (not as tacky as it sounds - there are some good wines in boxes these days).  One 3 liter box = ~96 oz, so if you have 6 oz wine glasses you'll get 16 glasses per 3 l box.  We can bring our own beer/wine/champagne to the venue, so we don't have a corkage fee (thankfully).  Liquor is harder to gauge, especially if guests start free-pouring their own drinks.  Will you have a bartender?
