I was quite surprised.Oh yeah, and all of these include an on-site technician and unlimited photos.  And these quotes are probably different for people outside the Triangle area but at least it gives you a range.

Pinky, I literally scoffed at Majestic's prices when I got the mail.  It went straight into the trash bin!

Um that's absolutely ridiculous!  I actually read a good idea in a bride magazine - take a camera and get a tripod and remote for the camera - set them up in a corner of the reception and let people take their 'photobooth' pics with the camera and the remote.  I haven't decided if I'm doing this yet but I'm considering it...I just need to find a camera w/a remote...

Kristy, my photographer is now offering the homemade photobooth as an option. She charges $150/hour & provides the camera w/remote, backdrop & even has props you can borrow. Then she just gives you a CD with all the pictures!I think it's something that a lot of photographers will start doing since it's become such a trendy thing.

Oh who is your photographer?  I just got a quote back from f8 studios and they charge $1100 for 5 hours of photo booth coverage. My only concern with doing it DIY is it would be just my luck that something would go wrong with the camera, or the camera would get stolen, or some drunk person would knock it over and break it lol.  And I think a decent camera and tripod will still run you several $100s of dollars.  I guess you could try reselling the stuff afterwards at least.
