    I'd go with Ward over Adrian for better plot.  I personally would go with Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series over both.

    Bobthie. not traditional vampire lore. vampires are a different species, not created. Can procreate with humans. War among the vampires for power. Romance novels with a good strong side of war

    It got better last night.  I am now about halfway through.  I hope to finish it and read #2 and 3 this weekend.  It just took me a while to get going.

    It depends on what you are looking for Bobthie. Adrian is pure fluff and pron. Ward is pron with plot. Anita Blake is really interesting but took me longer to get into than either Adrian or Ward. And I have some squeamishness with traditional vampire lore that the Blake series brings out in me.

    Blake is more murder mystery but the murderers are paranormals. If you aren't looking for vamp lit and haven't read them, I cannot recommend the JD Robb In Death series highly enough.
