I got my dress from mariposa boutique and need to have the bustle put in. I have read reviews that their seamstress is a little hard to work with and over priced. I was wondering if any of you have any recommendations for a reasonably priced, reliable seamstress for the bustle?

    just wondering what you thought of mariposa boutique? i was thinking of going there for my dress.

    I personally loved it. The girls there were so helpful and attentive. There is a smaller selection than some other places but the dresses that they do have are all wonderful. They have a wide range of prices and designers. Kacey, the owner, has wonderful customer service and made me try on a dress even though I didn't think it was the style for me. And of course it was the one I ended up buying. Go figure! Of course some people will say otherwise based on who helped them and whatnot. But all the people I worked with were great. I would recommend going during the week if you can or first thing in the morning on the weekends so that it isn't as crowded. I went at 10am on sunday right when they opened and had the store to myself. It just helps because there isn't a whole lot of sitting room for the people you bring with you. Also, when you pick up your dress or anytime you go there you can bring champagne and have drinks or make mimosas. Makes it so much fun :)

    Mahtab, there was a post a few days ago it has her info in it. she is taking in my dress and making a stronger bustle for 200 but I think it varies on different dresses.

    I used Mahtab.  She's super sweet and does beautiful work.  I think I paid $250 for a somewhat complicated bustle and she took in my dress because she wasn't crazy about how it fit off the rack.  You have to contact her early, though.  She gets booked fast.

    spaceykase03 i ordered my dress from there too. I had went to the wedding day and hated the service they were yes people. then when i went to maroposa they were awesome. I had been to 8 diff shops thanks for the heads up on the seamstress. GL
