A slideshow for the wedding? I sort of made fun of these, but somehow, I've been sucked in, and now we're doing one. But when? At the reception? The unity candle lighting at the ceremony? Another time? When did you do one?
My mom is putting one together for us b/c she really wanted to. It will be playing during cocktail hour on a flatscreen on the wall so people can watch if if they feel like it,b ut nobody is forced to.
We played it at the rehearsal dinner, and since all of our aunts, uncles, and cousins were at the RD too, we included pictures of us with them. They enjoyed seeing people they knew in the slideshow. I've seen some of these where it is 40 pictures of just the bride and groom in the standard side by side pose over and over again and it got horribly boring.
And I know people say they are cheesy, but I really love having a good number of our growing up pictures on DVD format.Plus, I thought it was really cute.
ILs did one for our rehearsal dinner. They never got a projector, they just played it on a laptop on a table with our framed invite (part of our gift from ILs, I'm still creepily obsessed with our invites), so people wandered over there to look at it in small groups whenever they wanted. I'm really happy they did it actually, it was cute and they put a lot of time and effort into making it

The one I did for my sister wasn't just current pictures of them. There were their baby and childhood pictures and family pictures then pictures of them and their daughter. My cousin had a digital picture frame that had probably 50 different pictures of them in the same side-by-side pose.
