On-Site Hair Stylist

Hello!!! I have a girl coming to the church to do the hair of my bridal party. I was wondering what the average charge was for something like this. She's asking $45/girl, $35 for me, and $35 for the trial hairstyle. Theres 6 of us, not including my mother or mother of the groom. Is this about average? She's an old neighbor and friend of mine and she doesn't live too far from the church. My bridesmaids are kinda hesitant to pay so much for a hairdo. They're all a little short on cash right now I've paid for their dresses but probably won't be able to afford the hair also. I don't wanna leave them in a bad position...any advice...

I paid $200 for my hair. Does that help you? If your girls can't pay for hairdos, then they shouldn't have to. None of my girls did and they all looked great.

That is a hell of a good price for on-site. They charged me 170 at the salon for the hair trial and then another 150 the day of. My girls paid 55-65.

Those prices are ridiculously good.I paid $250 for onsite hair & makeup, BMs & Mom were $100 each. If they had just done hair I think it would have been $75 per BM.

Right on. I'm not some crazy bridezilla thats forcing them to get their hair done. I just thought it'd be fun (and easier) to have someone come to us. I know this girl is good. I just never had to plan something like this before, so I didn't know what the usual price was. Like I said, I've happily helped them with their dresses, but I can't afford to do much more than that since my fiance and I are paying for the wedding on our own. Thanks for the feedback!!! Sounds good to me!!!

My hair on the day of was $85. My girls' were $70 each. My trial was $65. I gave them the option to either get their hair done professionally or doing it themselves. If they chose to get it done, they had to pay for it. If your girls can't afford it, allow them to do their hair themselves. Maybe among the 5 of them, they can do figure something out and do each other's hair.

Only $45? Wow...1985 called, it wants its hairstyle prices back!That is a great price. I think I have paid more for a wash and blow out. Make sure your BM's know that the hairstyle is optional since you are not paying for it....

The girls are all aware that there is no expectation from me that they MUST get their hair done from this girl. I'm thankful to have them there at all and would never set a requirement that they HAD to do something like that. Like I said before, I just figured it was a fun option that may make it more convenient for everyone.

Yep, that's REALLY cheap for on-site. I'm paying $425 for mine, my two BMs and my FG's hair on-site, which includes a trial for me.
