Hi Knotties! I've been lurking for a long time, and I thought that I'd finally introduce myself, now that I'm starting to plan for real. FI and I have already been engaged for about a year, but I'm in grad school out-of-state, so I haven't had much time to plan yet. It's a little scary that almost all of the planning is going to have to get done this and next summer, and that I'm only going to be able to come down to Texas a few times during the whole process, but I'm optimistic. We're planning on having the wedding on January 1, 2011, and I'm super-excited to get started!My first priority is finding a venue. I've done a lot of research, and I've already visited my top places and narrowed it down to two: Scottish Rite Theater and Zilker Clubhouse. Has anybody gotten married here? (Or used them for other events, for that matter?) Opinions? Advice?
