    we loved our dj! steve burdick of steve burdick events (http://steveburdickevents.com) and we love our photographers, but they're from LA. jamie and chris waters of { j a c } (http://jacshoot.com/blog) happy planning!

    I can recommend Jessica Quadra for photography.  She's in Newport Beach, but I think she'll travel anywhere in OC (our wedding was in Orange/Santa Ana).  I can't necessarily compare her to other photographers since we didn't shop around much (planned from out of town), but I can tell you that we got exactly what we wanted from our photos!

    We used Fly By Night DJ's in Huntington Beach and they were great! The best customer service and super experienced, all for a good price! Everyone I know that used them loved them! We LOVED our photographer Britney at Turn Loose The Art, she works part time in NY and here now though. Also check out Amy at Elmwood Court Photography. Her business is still on the new side. A few of us did B-pics with her a few months agoand her works amazing for the price she charges! GL!

    Check out Pirouette Photography at: http://www.pirouettephotography.comShe's based out of Costa Mesa, but she travels for free. The photographer (Teresa) is such an awesome person. She's a newlywed herself, so she is totally understanding of what we brides have to go through (the stress and the importance of budget and everything going smoothly, etc., because it's one of the biggest days our lives). Photography is not her full time job. It's her passion, her hobby, and because of that, she puts her heart into capturing our moments and catering to our desire of our style of photography. She is really versatile in terms of her style. She can shoot the traditional, but can also be super creative (we love her detail shots of our rings, shoes, cake, etc.) and give us shots that are uniquely her own. We wanted some "fashion" poses (but not overdo it), and she did that for us, too. Her personality is so cute and we really loved working for her. We definitely recommend her. However, we do have to say that she's not for you if you are expecting a $2,000+ type of work. But she's definitely worth more than she charges, if you're wanting your wedding day memories captured on photo, and an easy and awesome vendor to work with. She cut us a really great deal for our wedding and threw in free engagement sessions, too!
