Back from Cleveland...checks!

So my mom and I are back in Florida after a rainy four days in Cleveland.  :)  We have decided on the cake and the flowers and couldn't be more excited.  My mom finally got to see everything and even though we meshed on a few different ideas I thnk we had fun.  I just wanted to way thank you to all the girls for the recommendations.  I don't know what I would do without you girls!!!  :)

    Wellll....I know a lot of girls on here love Ety however we couldn't go with her.  She was $500 more than the place I chose (Blooms) and she was soooo disorganized.  She didn't really listen to what I wanted either.  I was pretty disappointed.  Arnie at Blooms was so detail oriented and took so much interest in making sure I got exactly what I wanted.  He was great.  I am waiting on his final proposal because he quoted us at 1200 but he will do our flowers and linens.  We also checked out Prestige and she does beautiful work but was wayyyy out of our price range.  With cakes, we made one stop at Wild Flour and she had us at the very beginning.  Mona was like dealing with a mom who wanted nothing but the best for you.  She was very reasonable too!  If you have any specific questions about what we talked about (kinds of flowers, etc) just let me know.  I gave you just the basics :)  Are you going up there any time soon or mostly planning from online?

    Ohmgosh you got so much accomplished! Thanks for the details! Do you have the contact for Blooms? I can't find them online. Is the $1200 quote for the ceremony, bouquets, boutonnieres and reception centerpieces? That seems like a steal! May I ask how much wild flour quoted you? Cakes are the one item on our list that we have no idea on what price to expect... Thanks again for your help! I have PTO scheduled for Aug, Oct, and Nov to get up there, but your recommendations are be super helpful!

    For Blooms you wanna talk to Arnie (216) 367-1200 If you get a chance to sit down with him it would be worth it.He guessed 1200 for all bouquets, bouts, corsages, 15 centerpieces, and 7 extras for lil stuff.  He's waiting to hear about the linen cost so it might vary but that was what he said before we left.Wild Flour said it would be 3.25 a slice (non fondant but her non fondants look just as nice as the fondants!) I think it was like 5 for fondant.  So...we are banking on maxing out the Club so it'll be $650 for 200 people and then no delivery fee b/c we're downtown then plus tax.  I was blown away by the cost of cakes (I've never planned a wedding before!)  so it was the most reasonable we could find while still being blown away by her work! Hope that helps!!! :)

    We're going with pink and orange roses with some lime green hydrangeas (spelling?)   Everything will be pretty uniform and simple.  If you talk to Arnie tell him Kristen sent you!  He is wonderful.

    Just wanted to say TWO excellent choices you won't be disappointed with! We loved working with Arne and Mona and LOVED our flowers and cake. Can't wait to eat our frozen cake top in about a month :)

    Absolutely.  We met with Ted from TKO and John from DJ Crew.  We both felt Ted was worth the extra money since we feel a dj can make or break your evening and we just didn't feel comfortable with DJ Crew.  Sorry to any girls who are die hard fans.  :/  Let me know if you have any questions on either! :)
