playing w centerpeice ideas

So Fi and I colors are pink and grey, and we love hydrangeas, so we want to do pink hydrangea with sime pussy willow branches to pull the two colors together. I went to flower and craft warehouse and got some fake stems to play around.. and heres what I came up with. I have 10 of each of the photographed vases, so we will be going 10 tall, and 10 short. There will also be votives on the tables. http://flickr.com/gp/29212339@N02/zW5M2B

Those are really pretty!!  Have you considered adding some clear stones in the bases on the vases?

stones maybe, but not sure. were going for a more rustic look so maybe earthtone stones.. Any more thoughts? suggestions? Im TOTALLY open. The only thing were pretty firm on is the hydrangea. The pusy willow branches are optional.

I like the branches...they add a unique texture and sounds like they fit your color scheme perfectly.  I would add some sort of rocks or something to the vases...it will help keep the branches/flowers in place a little more.

They look very nice, but did you price the hydrangea for that time of year?  It could get very expensive--just wanted to warn you.

I  like the simplicity of the arangement, and the hydrangeas are such a beautiful shade of pink. I also agree with ppl about the stones in the vase. perhaps if you found some gray pebbles, they would help tie in the pink and gray coors without being over-done.

I love the short ones. I agree about the stones. I think something needs to be at the bottom to balance out the look. Also, for your taller version - you could even go taller. Just secure the willows in a form hidden by the hydrangeas. It would make more of a statement.
