Hi all-

What are the advantages and disadvantages of going with a chain photography studio versus an individual? Any thoughts?

I'd be really worried about which photographer I got. If you can't pick a specific individual to be there for your wedding, how will you know what type or quality of photos you'll get?

Most chain companies are just "umbrella companies" aka they just hire random local freelancers to fill dates that they book. I consider it the sort of "grab bag" of vendors... You have no real idea of who or what you will get, so it's basically a gamble.
