Yes, those are about it. I think the rule is to feed the ones who will be there throughout

Videographer? I would email the vendors and ask them if they have any dietary concerns and how many meals they need. I had only figured 2 meals for photog and when I emailed him I learned he was brinning a 2nd assit too. So it was 3 meals. Its always best to ask.

I'm with Vicki on this one, ask the vendors because you'd hate to miss someone.  If you're having video, add them to your list as well.

I'm feeding 9 vendors. I have the two photographers and his assistant, the two videographers and their assistant, the DOC and her assistant, and the DJ. I am also giving them a hot meal (the same as the guests). I want them to be satisfied and happy, and I want them to stay as late as possible (photo and video) and not be starving and dying to leave :)

I ain't paying for nobody, lol. Photographer and band bring their own snacks, and the DOC works for the venue, so she doesn't need hoot. I guess I got lucky?

I had 4 vendors that I fed. Photographer and her assistant, DJ, and DOC They were loving me, b/c they all had filet mignon! Yumm :) They said vendor meals are usually hot dogs and hamburger type dinners, so if you can afford it give them a regular meal not just a vendor meal. All 4 of them thanked us for it!

we fed 8 vendors -- 2 photographers and an assistant, 2 videographers, our DOC and her 2 assistants. we offered food to the DJ and photobooth operator but they didn't partake. we gave them all the same meal as the guests because we thought it would be rude to feed them chicken when everyone else is eating steak and salmon. the vendor meal at our venue is typically is a hot meal though. sometimes it can be cold sandwiches.definitely agree with michi -- you should feed them a hot meal so they'll be happy and fed and willing to stay longer!

Unfortunately due to my very high Cost Per Person, I will NOT be able to afford to feed my vendors the same thing as the guests. If I did, it' would be over $1K. BUT I do plan to feed the 2 Photos, The Videographers, The DJ, and the DOC.. not sure if anyone else would need a meal.

Just wanted to mention that vendor meals, even if they are hot, cost less than the rest of the guest's meals because alcohol isn't included in the price of the vendor meal. I think we are paying almost half of what we are paying for everyone else. HTH :)

No, they typically do not have to be seated at guest tables.  My vendors ate in the cocktail hour area.

Even if my vendor meals were cheaper due to not including alcohol they'd still be well over $100 each and I'm just NOT gonna do that. They offer vendor meals for like $50 each at the epic and whatever it is, that's what I'm going to feed them. I'm sure it won't be TERRIBLE, it's still provided by the hotel. If the vendors are miserable w/ the food they are given I'd feel bad but I can't afford to pay for them to eat what my guests are having.
