Should I be weirded out...

...by the fact that my mother e-mailed me a link to the sale that VS is having on their "bridal" collection?Part of me is like "yes, a sale!" and then part of me is like "eww, this is my MOM".

    Well obviously she knows what happens on the wedding night.  It's not like she doesn't know what sex is.  I wouldn't be weirded out by it.

    hahah! I would be weirded out too, not goona lie. at least it wasn't your FMIL. Back in high school, my FIs (then BF) mother pulled me aside to have a very awkward talk about how she would take me to get on BC if I wanted to. Um?

    your mom knows that often enough with younger brides their friends don't usuallly think of the very pretty "bridal" things.  enjoy the sale and be happy that your mom knows that pretty things are very necessary :-)

    No, cause for being weirded out would be her buying you lingerie and saying "I can just see you in bed in this" or "DH will really like ripping this off you." Sick. Like Dani said, it's not like she doesn't know what's going to be happening.

    I know my mom knows what sex is, but when it comes to my mother I'd like to keep her out of MY sex life. I really didn't get weirded out by it.. actually I found it kind of funny in a sweet way. If I told my FI though, I know he'd be really weirded out by it. He's like an 8 year old.

    My MIL sent me several links for lingerie before the wedding... She used to sell Pure Romance so she is always like "do you two need anything?" And I then I turn red and say "no thanks Margrit" I'm very open about sex, but coming for my MIL and FIL it just creeps me out! They are a very open couple and their kids have grown up like that, but my parents have never ever talked about their sex life much less mine! I would be mortified. I guess it just depends on your relationship with your mom & FMIL/MIL.

    I wouldn't be.  In my circle, the bride is given a lingerie shower as part of their bachelorette party.  My mom will be at both the shower and the party and already told me about the good deal she got at the VS semi-annual sale on a cute slip & satin robe for me haha.  I have a pretty close relationship with my mom though.  I think everyone is probably different.

    I wouldn't be, that's like G-rated compared to my mom.  Once I was over 18 that seemed to open the flood gates of "TMI" info from my mom about her and my dads sex life, plus my mom sits on her computer at work all day and e-mails me dirty jokes all the time.
