The Tides or Mayfair Farms

HELP! We have seen so many places, my head is spinning. We've finally narrowed it down to the Tides in N. Haledon and Mayfair Farms in W. Orange. Does anyone have any advice of which one to pick for a July, Saturday afternoon wedding?

I just had a July afternoon wedding at the Tides yesterday. Everything was perfect, you would not regret picking them.

I booked Mayfair for June 2010. We are currently working with Joanne and have a great experience so far. I know people who have previously gotten married at Mayfair and I have yet to hear a bad review. We are having everything there, ceremony/ reception. We booked the downstairs room.

I got married at the tides in March.. and I loved it. They are lots of tides brides on this board.

The Tides was awesome! Great cocktail hour, dinner, and Viennese hour. Nice outdoor area to sit also. I like Joanne at Mayfair Farms, it was ok, didnt like that my party would be shuffled downstairs and the septic smell when we walked in masked by a candle.

My sister got married in 06 at Mayfair and it was truly amazing. The staff went above and beyond starting cocktail 45 mins early and letting us stay an extra half hour. The food was amazing as was the atmosphere of the whole place. When we visited places (Mayfair was not one because I wanted to choose a different venue) we did visit the Tides and really did like it. I believe we met with Scott and he was wonderful showing us around. The garden is beautiful and for what they offer you, you can't beat the prices. I think either on you choose you will not be disappointed!! Best of luck!

My sis got married at Mayfair Farms, and if she hadn't I'd have gotten married there myself. Just didn't want to get married at the same place. I'd highly recommend it.

I am getting married at the Tides next month, and they have been great to work with so far. I have to say we were able to really negotiate some extras and the price, and minimum with them. I feel like we are getting so much for what we are paying at the Tides.

Question I have....is would you be using the tides upstairs or downstairs room?Might also want to check out the richfield regency........if decor is your style they do a good job.

I checked out both and liked the Tides much better. They have very different feels to them, so I guess it really depends what you're looking for. I hated the ornate decor at Mayfair Farms.
