Hey girls...I am about to print my invitations for my Nov 7th wedding and I am just curious how far in advance you sent out your invitations and what your RSVP deadline was?Is 8 weeks before the wedding a good time to mail them out and 2 weeks prior to the wedding enough time to get RSVPs back? I have no clue...

    Standard "advice" is mail 8 weeks prior, RSVP due 4 weeks prior. But you can tweak that to fit your particular circumstances. If your caterer needs the numbers a week ahead of time, you need to also give yourself a week or two to call people who don't mail in their RSVPs.  It took us a lot longer than I expected to track down the 40some parties who did not RSVP.
    We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

    Mailed July 6 RSVP by August 5 Catering number by August 12 Wedding September 12

    My wedding is also Nov 7th and we are sending out our invitations 2nd or 3rd wk in Sept and RSVPs are due Oct 10th.

    I did my invites out 8 weeks and then RSVPs 3 weeks before.  Most of my vendors needed exact numbers 2 weeks prior to the event so I gave myself one extra week to follow up with all the stragglers who hadn't sent in RSVPs.
