Wedding Venue Help for a Frustrated Bride to Be

I'm looking for a decent venue with a price of no more than $75-$80 per person for dinner. I wanted a location in the Los Angeles County, but I am willing to go to the OC if it's worth it. I was hoping for one stop shopping, meaning ceremony and reception at the same place. It would be nice if I could have an outdoor ceremony. I plan on having 150-160 people. Any suggestions? I am beyond frustrated.

Did you look into Swiss Park in Whittier? When is your wedding taking place?

I had the same frustrations and went with the Lindley-Scott House in Azusa.  It was an excellent solution for us - beautiful and cost-effective.  Review in my married bio :).

Have you looked into the Via Verde Country Club in San Dimas.  Some friends of mine are getting married there in Aug and I believe they are within your price range.

I'm having my reception at the La Canada Flintridge Country Club and I know they have packages that are in that price range.  I've never seen a wedding there but I know they do them outside, I believe they have a few different spots to have the ceremony take place.  The reception room for your size is awesome it has a wrap around porch and it is all windows so on a clear day you can see all the way to Catalina Island, plus they also just got a new chef that is really good. HTH!

Try Malibou Lake Mountain Club, it's in Agoura. You can have your ceremony and cocktail hour outside, reception inside. I don't know how much they are exactly but my sister had her wedding there and said it was very reasonable. It's very pretty!

You could check out The Castaway in Burbank. I think it came to $80 per person after sales tax and service charge for the package we did. It included chair covers, table linens, cake, 2 hour open bar, some appetizers, and ceremony. If you want more information you can email me at hubbardfosterwedding at yahoo dot com!

Have you heard about Angeles National Golf Club in Sunland? It is new and has ceremony and reception areas with a killer view! Because it's new they have a bunch of open dates, give them a call!

I'm getting married at Robinson Ranch in Canyon Country- it's well below that price and we are having an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Let me know if you have any questions. (A few other places within that price range are Lost Hills Country Club in Simi Valley, Woodranch Country Club in Simi Valley, Porter Valley Country Club in Porter Ranch, Malibou Lake Country Club in Agoura, Brookstone Country Club in Pasadena). Sounds like your guest list and budget are similar to mine, so let me know if you need anything. =)

I don't know about the exact price per person breakdown, but I'm getting married at the Padua Hills Theatre in Claremont.  It's totally one stop shopping--ceremony & reception there, plus they do cakes and have hotel rooms for the newlyweds. :o)  It's in LA County and it was reasonable when I was checking prices.

You could try Pickwick Gardens in Burbank.  They have a beautiful garden ceremony area and nice reception rooms.  We got the highest buffet package and it is $79/pp.  Let me know if you would like any other info.  GL!

We're doing the Doubletree at the block of orange. The ceremony room they have there is gorgeous and $1500 and then they have plates starting at $40ish a person, but that includes your cake from Rockwells, appetizers or flower centerpieces, they provide hurricane candles and vases, beverages.. Alot. And they let you do your alcohol by kegs too instead of per person :)

I'm getting married at the Ambassador Campus in Pasadena in one of their gardens. It is a beautiful place, and they have catering packages through off site caterers that fit your budget. I'm paying about 70 per person and have done tastings through Cynthia Brooks catering, and the food is amazing. Check out their site ambassadorcampus.com
