Affordable and professional Photographers

I was going through my budget, had everything worked out, and the I started researching the cost of a photographer. Yikes! If anyone knows of one that isn't crazy in price, but takes quality pictures let me know. They must be hiding from me, because I cannot find them!

What do you define as "crazy in price" ?

All that I could find was $1,500 - $2,000 just starting out. That seems a bit steep for only 2 - 3 hours worth of service. Is that pretty much what they go for?

I am not sure what kind of coverage you are looking for, but 2-3 hours on your wedding day doesn't seem to be that much. Check Out Just Perfect Memories.  I consider them a gem in the rough.  I love their creative  approach and their quality is very high compared with other photographers I had met with.  Ryan even customized a package around our wedding day.http://www.justperfectmemories.comLet them know Carol Z. referred you to them and inquire about their referral program.GL & HTH!!!!

I also have to be VERY budget conscious so I feel your pain.  I'm using Michelle Brown and she is very affordable and a sweetheart!  We're getting our engagement pictures taken in 2 weeks so I can tell you more then, but for now: http://www.michellebrownphotographyohio.com/index2.php?v=v1

Joey - let me know how they go! Her prices are amazing and so is the work that I saw. I'm just worried because I like kind of far from norwalk.. :(

CZ - I guess 2 - 3 hours is not a lot of time, maybe I will re think that. The person you recomended has very nice pictures, but It about 1,000 out of my budget, but thanks anyway!

What kind of coverage do you want - just ceremony? reception too?  I would contact a few  and  ask if they will only do ceremony, etc.  and what their fee will be.

Spring--I will definitely let you know!!  And Stow isn't that far.  I live in Akron, getting married in North Canton and having the engagement pictures taken in Cleveland.  So I'm making her drive all over the place!  lol

Maria Sharron!! She is wonderful. I found her completely on a whim and I am so glad that I did. Check out the pics in my sig. She will do all day, whenever you want her there, until the last guest leaves. She has several package price options, anywhere from $675 to over $1,000. If you tell her that Andrea from LA sent you, she will give you a free bridal portrait or engagement session. www.mariasharron.com

I was going to suggest Maria Sharron...I see she has been suggested twice, so I will 3rd her! :-)  She is doing our engagement session on Saturday, I will know more after that.  But I have NO worries, I've loved the work I've seen and she's super nice!

We used affordable wedding portraits.  Her website is affordableweddingportraits dot com.  She ownes Sophia Photography  in  Little Italy.  That is where her shop  is.  She was amazing.  The pics were great.  You  can  check out her work  at  either website.  We had her the full day  of the wedding she took  a ton of amazing pics and we have the rights to  all of them....We paid under $1000!  Good Luck!

I am using Mark Christoff from the Akron area. I had the same problem with photographers and $$$. He was able to customize packages to fit your needs. The package I picked was about $1600, but you can get higher or lower as well. Goodluck!

We are using our good friends who have started a photgraphy studio together, which is called A Studio. They are very flexible and creative and fun, which counts for a lot. www.astudionow.com and you can see photo galleries at www.astudio,zenfolio.com Good luck!
