Your venue?

Where is your wedding and what is your venue?  Why did you choose it?Mine is Heritage Oaks Clubhouse.  I chose it because it has everything (beautiful lighting, pool table, surround sound, beautiful wood tables, open ballroom, even has a big kitchen with two icemakers) for an affordable price ($100 an hour).  Another knottie mentioned it a while back...I chose it because it is super cozy but also upscale. We just fell in love with it.http://www.heritageoaksclubhouse.com/

We're getting married at The Winfield Inn. FI really wanted an outdoor ceremony and indoor/outdoor reception. We also wanted a place that had good flow, not several smaller rooms. We looked at maybe 7 venues and found some cons to each of them. Then we went to Winfield and fell in love. FI also really wanted a historic home to be part of the setting. It was also really important that the staff be easy to communicate with and accommodating.

Ours is Balcones Country Club in north austin.  The ceremony will be on the golf course and the reception in the clubhouse.  I chose it because it has alot of family history for me, it's a great location and the price is unbeatable.

The Driskill Hotel. Like many Austin Knotties, we wanted something with a historic feel, and we ourselves also wanted something with a very loungy, downtown feel. The Driskill was actually FI's dream wedding venue, ever since he was a little boy, and when I moved out here and saw it before we were engaged, I fell in love as well and it was also my first choice. It's also a great deal for an afternoon wedding! *thumbs up*

We're getting married at the Vista on Seward Hill. It was the third place we visited, and we just fell in love with it. The outdoor area where we will have the ceremony is so pretty that we are not adding a single thing decoration wise.  And we love the building that has the bar and dance floor.  Has a lot of chic yet cozy couches that will be great for our friends and family to hang out and chat on.  Plus it was in our price range.  It also helped that the dj came included, so we didn't have to bother looking around for one.We also really like the Sewards who own the property. They are so sweet and helpful, and seem to have thought of every little detail to make it a perfect wedding venue.

We chose Villa Antonia for the reception because it is so beautiful! I wanted a place that was totally different from where I live in Houston. The view makes me feel like I am not in Texas!

We picked Villa Antonia because it is absolutely gorgeous. I also really like the "house" part of the venue and could really picture the reception when I saw it. We're getting married on a Sunday so it was fairly affordable as well.

Star Hill Ranch. It was everything we wanted in a location. It was different than the norm, comfortable, casual but upscale, and has definate charm.

Vintage Villas. The views, the price, the staff. I knew things would go well, they were just so professional. The price was on spot for what we wanted. I also loved that they had a beautiful indoor option because we were in January. All that was included was a huge perk too: tables, linens, chairs, catering, alcohol, and decor.

We chose The Mansion (TFWC Mansion) because it was just gorgeous AND they let us choose our own vendors (rentals aside). It was so hard for us to find a good indoor venue in Austin that didn't insist that we use a pre-determined caterer, so we were thrilled when The Mansion told us we could bring in whoever we wanted. The price was right and once we saw the way it looked when Ilios had it all lit up we were sold!
