Bridesmaid Dresses

I live on the North Shore, just outside of Boston.  Any recommendations on where to search for Bridesmaid dresses?  Do I need to make appointments?

Bella Bridesmaid and Aria are on Newbury and the only do bridesmaids dresses.  Appointments are necessary for both of those stores.  I went to L'elite to look a dress that I was supposed to wear for another wedding and they weren't interested in helping me, but they seemed to be nicer to girls who came in groups with their BMs.

Two places we looked and found had a good selection were Pure Bliss in Newburyport and Madeline's Daughter in Portsmouth NH. I did call and make appts, I think this is expected. Especially if you are going on a weekend...

Ours were from the Ann Taylor Celebrations line. The Newbury st store carries it. jcrew has some cute ones too, but I'm not sure whether they are online only or not.

Flair on Newbury Street. You need an appointment. They have great stuff and have been great to work with.

Thank you for the advice, kids.  Any recommendations for places outside of Boston?  I get nervous about parking!  lol.

I LOVED Anita at Bridal Reflections in Watertown. I live all the way in Rutland (beyond Worcester) and would make the drive to go to her over and over if needed.  I got all 8 BM dresses there, my flower girl and my moms dress. Regardless of how many BM's you have, they will all get a discount on their dresses.  Anita used to work at a bridal shop and she does not believe in over charging BM's for a dress. Her shop is in her upstairs of her home, so don't be surprised when you pull up.  She has THOUSANDS of dresses from Waters and Waters, to Aftersix and Jim Hjelm.  Her number is 617-489-5441.  She is such a sweetheart!  Good Luck:)

And parking is not an issue...her house is on a side street. :)

Gianna Bridal in Stoneham...thats where I got my dress.  Also, Chantilly Place in Lowell and Abbey Bridal in Andover were GREAT for my friends' weddings! I know Gianna you will want to make an appointment-its pretty small, but they have a great selection.  Chantilly is really big, so probably not.

What ever dress you find you can get cheaper at Pearl's Place

Thank you all for the advice.  I've heard great things about Pearl's Place and I know a few people who have been to Gianna's.  I think I actually may have gone there years ago when I was a maid in my cousin's wedding...... Finding maids dresses is going to be harder than finding my own.  Mine was so easy!
