Photobooth- Worth it?

My DJ offers a photobooth for $300 dollars more and it is pretty nice one too. he uploads them live to facebook and also gives me the disc for printing but I am not sure if I want one. Seems like a pretty good deal to me but i thought I might ask if people think it is worth having one at their wedding. What do you think?

Re: Photobooth- Worth it?

  • I think it is...its just something so fun to do, and you even see people get in it that you wouldnt think would! My FI tried talking me outta ours the other day and I said absolutely not! Its just somthing fun to look back on, especially if you get an album with yours. I say go for it!
  • I didn't have one but I've been to weddings where they have one and they are fun.  They are very popular still where I live and no one ever regrets doing one.  For that price, I would do it and just have it be your favor for everyone.
  • Thats what Im doing with mine, having it for the favor, and mine alone is 595 so thats a great deal, especially with good quality like you said.
  • We had a photo booth at our wedding.  It was definitely worth it.  People had so much fun taking (multiple) pictures.  The expressions and the things they did were hilarious.  I definitely recommend it.  I've never known anyone that regretted having one at their wedding.

  • I totally wish we would have . We thought about it, but we had priorities and it didn't make the cut. We researched and met with a photographer for our wedding. She was nice, professional and we found her because she was recommended by a former client. Our pictures were finally just posted and they are horrible. There are no sharp, clear pictures and many are blurry. Although we gave the photographer a list of family members, some of my husband's sisters are in no pictures at all. There are few pictures of my brothers and some of them are only in one picture I hunted her down to take and the quality of the picture my cousin took because she just happened to be standing there is of far better quality than the professional picture. I also told her that I wanted pictures of the 18 people who traveled from overseas. She got a handful of them, but many didn't get photographed. My mother-in-law is in 2 pictures. I insisted that they be taken at the end of the mass. Neither picture is good. Somehow I thought that she would have made a point to get the mother of the groom in some pictures. Had we had the photo booth, at least we would have some evidence that these people were there. The pictures probably would be better than what we got too. By the way, $300 really isn't that much. I hope you do it.
  • Hi,

We are still looking at photographer options but want our guests to also have fun so photo booth could be good idea.  Seems like cost is not too bad.  Also, my best friends Dad used to work with a guy who just launched an app that apparently lets you make an album where everyone can add photos at the event using the cameras on their smartphones.  He asked if we would consider using it since our wedding is next fall.  I said I would check it out.  He said it is called PixWithMe and his site is http://www.pixwithme.com
