EPIC Hotel $25,000 minimun?

I received an email from them saying that is there minimum for food/bev on Sat. nights. Wow, we're having a 75-guest destination wedding and could never rack up a bill for $25,000 unless we threw money away.How disappointing. Does this mean it's a no-go?

    What about finding out about Friday night? If people are traveling from out of town anyway they will have to take time off work so it doesn't really matter if it is on a Friday or Saturday. They just get to start their vacation a day earlier.

    Did you try to negotiate with them? I have heard a lot of places are negotiating prices. Friday's are also less expensive I have heard.

    I think it's a no-go.  Ask about their Friday night minimum.  I believe it's 15K.

    It's a no go for a Sat, they def have the $25K minimum, BUT I believe the minimum is lower for a Friday or Sunday wedding.... That's where I'm getting married and I love the place!!! Def worth considering doing a Friday for IMHO! Good luck!

    BTW... just food for thought... we are having like 100-120... and the way we will make the minimum is b/c we added stations to the cocktail hour and picked the top menu package. It CAN be done, but your Cost Per Person is just ridiculously high.

    Ok, you said the minimum for Saturday NIGHTS is $25,000.  Would it be the same minimum for a daytime event???Just another approach.  GL

    First, what's your overall wedding budget? that would be the easiest way to tell if you can swing this or not. Second, have you tried negotiating at all? Perhaps they can add other things to your package in order help you meet you minimum(maybe chairs,linens,chargers,room blocks perhaps?) GL this is a tough vendor to book!!

    Chairs and Linens are included in their package. Not sure if they will include the room block in that number, pretty sure that has to be for F&B but you never know, you might be able to get them to bring it down to $20K. Definitely worth a try!!!
